Inexplicable Profusion

June 2018

Written for Chi Him Chik, and premiered at the World Saxophone Congress in Croatia, Inexplicable Profusion is a work for saxophone and live electronics. The live electronics are designed to “freeze” the spectrum of sound that the saxophone creates. The saxophonist then instructed to improvise within that sonic framework to create a “window within a window”.
